We have three quick updates for you this month, including:
- Give to the Max Day
- Cargo Bike Shop Open House this Saturday!
- 2026 Partnerships
1. Give to the Max Day
Our neighbors in Minnesota are probably already familiar, but today is Give to the Max Day – the biggest fundraising day for many nonprofits across the state. If you’re in a position to give, please consider donating to our fundraiser here and share it with your family/friends! Any and every amount helps.
We’re aiming to raise $2k or more to support our expansion plans in 2026, including paying for bike storage, bike insurance and bike repairs on a fleet that is already shaping up to be at least 4x larger than we started with in spring of 2025! Help us scale our cargo bike library model so we can support more people to have the knowledge, skills and resources to safely and confidently replace car trips.

2. Cargo Bike Shop Open House this Saturday!
Our partners at The Cargo Bike Shop in St. Paul are hosting an open house this Saturday from 10am-5pm. We’ll be there at 1pm with a couple of our bikes for a presentation Laura Mitchell is giving on cargo biking with kids, then will join a family-friendly group ride that departs the store at 1:45pm to a park 2 miles away (4 miles round trip). The shop will have some closeout deals on demo items and bikes and it’s a great opportunity to connect with us, a local bike shop, and meet new bike friends. We hope to see some of you there!
- Where: The Cargo Bike Shop (1592 Selby Avenue, St. Paul)
- When: 1pm on Saturday, November 22nd
3. 2026 Partnerships
Our team is deep in planning for 2026. If you have ideas for potential locations, partners, or want to volunteer with us please reach out via out contact form on our site! We are especially looking for potential host sites/partners in North Minneapolis. At minimum, we need a place to store bikes/install a secure bike hangar and ideally some folks (staff of a nonprofit/business or volunteers) who might be able to help manage overseeing bike check in/out. If you have ideas, please reach out.
As our plans for 2026 come together we’ll share them via this newsletter first, including opportunities for future orientations. We know we didn’t come close to meeting demand in 2025 so we’re eager to grow our program and welcome more of you as members in ’26! If you’re reading this update on our site, be sure to subscribe to our newsletter (bottom of the website page) so you can stay up to date on all things Cargo Bike Library in the coming months.
